MAQUI BERRY
The Maqui Berry is a deeply purpled berry that grows exclusively in the pristine Patagonian Region of Southern Chile and Argentina. BLUEBERRY
Native only to North America, these rich deep indigo berries with their prestigious five point flared crowns were once believed by the native American tribes, to hold life giving power sent by the "great Spirit" to relieve hunger in the face of famine.

Anthocyanins, which are the blue-red flavonoid pigments that color the dark berries, hold powerful antioxidants deep within their skins and fibers.

One cup of blueberries will not only offer an array of vitamins, such as Vitamin A, C, E, B1, B2 and B3. but will also yield vital minerals including potassium, calcium, manganese, zinc, calcium, manganese, zinc, and iron. North America alone produces almost 90% of the blueberries in the world.

APPLE
In the mountains of Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Xinjiang, and China, the wild apple tree can still be found and was possibly the first tree to be cultivated and improved in ancient civilizations.

Colonists planted them in the 1600's in North America and today there are 7,500 apple varieties in the world that are full of phenolic antioxidants, pectin, which is a valuable source of soluble fiber, other minerals like boron, beta carotene, and vitamin C.

POMEGRANATE

The arils or the fleshy fruit skin surrounding the seeds, is the edible part of the fruit and they are packed with extraordinary amounts of antioxidant polyphenols, vitamin B, potassiumm, and panthothenic and ellagic acids.

RED RASPBERRY
Botanically speaking, raspberries that grow in brambles are a part of the rose family, but are not really berries. These tiny little fruits each have individual seeds that grow in a collection of drupelets that make up what looks like a berry and may be red, black, or gold. It is believed that they originated in Asia Minor and were probably spread throughout Europe by the Romans. In the middle ages, they were cultivated by the British and exported to the shores of New York by 1771.

Red raspberry is most often the source of a dietary supplement sold in many health food stores called ellagic acid. This substance found naturally in raspberries belongs to the family of phytonutrients called tannins, and it is viewed as being responsible for a good portion of the antioxidant activity of this (and other) berries.

Raspberries are an excellent source of fiber, manganese and vitamin C. They are a very good source of vitamin K and a good source of magnesium, folate, omega-3 fatty acids, copper, vitamin E and potassium. In addition, they contain significant amounts of the anti-cancer phytochemical ellagic acid.

CRANBERRY
While familiar nutrients like vitamin C and fiber play a very important role in cranberry's health benefits, it's the amazing array of phytonutrients in cranberries that has gotten the special attention of health researchers. There are at least 5 key categories of health-supportive phytonutrients in cranberries:

1. Phenolic Acids
2. Proanthocyanidins
3. Anthocyanins
4. Flavonoids
5. Triterpenoids

Equally important in the cranberry research has been the finding that isolated phytonutrients in cranberry do not account for the same degree of health benefit as phytonutrients taken as a complete, synergistic group. What this research finding means is simple:
it's the whole cranberry that supports our health best.

ACEROLA CHERRY
The acerola cherry, Malpighia punicifolia, is a small red fruit that is packed with Vitamin C. In fact, it holds about 65 times the amount of vitamin C than an orange. Just a single cherry holds all of your recommended amounts of vitamin C. It's recommended to eat fresh, raw acerola cherries, but you can also buy it in powder form.

Cherries from this commonly known "Health Tree" contain the minimum daily recommended requirement of vitamin C alone and 65 times that of an orange.

REGARDING RADIATION FROM FUKUSHIMA

radioactiveDID YOU KNOW?

As concerns mount regarding contamination of Pacific waters due to the massive and ongoing release of radioactive water from Fukushima, we continue to receive questions regarding the origins of our Emerald Sea™ ingredients.

It has recently been publicly admitted that 300-400 tons of contaminated water have been pouring into the Pacific per day since the meltdown began in March 2011. Many companies obtain their seaweed from Japan. In fact, Japan is one of the largest seaweed exporters in the world. However, this is just one more reason people remain loyal to Emerald Sea.

Emerald Sea's seven (7) species seaweed are hand harvested from the cold and clean waters of the North Atlantic. They are then gently sun-dried to retain their full raw, whole superfood benefits

Lastly, the final product is tested from radiation contamination to ensure we are providing you and your family the absolute best seaweed nutrition on the planet.
